In the Jaitu Municipal Council elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has claimed victory for 7 of its councillors unopposed after 16 nomination papers were rejected. Out of 17 wards, now only 10 wards will go to polls with 57 candidates. Opposition parties, including Congress, SAD, and BJP, have alleged government high-handedness and held a protest march.
