A truck driver lost his life on Sunday morning after his vehicle, loaded with paint and hardware material, skidded off the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and plunged into a deep gorge near Nachlana in Ramban district. A joint rescue operation was launched by the J&K Police, Army's 23 Rashtriya Rifles, and local volunteers. The driver was rushed to an Army medical facility where he was declared dead.
