Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has introduced historic reforms in the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) system after 26 years. The credit limit for wheat has been raised to ₹30,000 per acre, sugarcane to ₹1 lakh, and horticulture crops up to ₹1.57 lakh. For the first time, ₹2,000 per acre is allocated for stubble management. The system is now fully digital, allowing ATM and UPI transactions. KCC approval will last 6 years with annual automatic limit increases.
