In a heart-wrenching incident in Kalahandi district, a Bolero driver abandoned the dead body of a poor patient and his elderly wife in a dense forest after the patient died en route from the hospital. The family was returning home due to financial constraints when the incident occurred. The elderly woman was forced to guard her husband's body in the lonely forest, a scene reminiscent of the Dana Majhi tragedy. Following the intervention of the Lanjigarh MLA, a government 'Mahaprayan' vehicle was arranged to transport the body to the deceased's village.
