Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi conducted a surprise visit to Baliapal to inspect illegal sand and soil mining. Following numerous complaints, the MP walked to the spots in Deula and Madhupura panchayats along with police and mining officials. A JCB machine involved in illegal excavation was seized during the operation.
