A police van carrying two DSPs from Mayurbhanj met with a serious accident near Nuagaon on National Highway 16 in Balasore district. The vehicle crashed into the back of a container while returning from Muharram duty in Bhadrak. DSP Pascal Ekka, DSP Nirupama Mallick, and driver Badal Pradhan sustained severe injuries and are currently undergoing treatment at Remuna Medical College.
