Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has announced that the 'Mukh Mantri Mawan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana' will commence on July 1st. Eligible women will receive monthly financial aid: ₹1,000 for general categories and ₹1,500 for Scheduled Caste (SC) women. The funds will be transferred directly to bank accounts. Approximately 97% of women in the state are expected to benefit from this initiative, supported by a ₹9,300 crore budget allocation.
