Delhi Police solved the murder of Delhi University Professor Debasmita Paul within three days. A couple from West Bengal, Ramprasad Das and Banasree Das, were arrested for traveling 1400 km to commit the crime over a property dispute. The victim was found dead with severe head injuries and cut wrists in her apartment. The police ruled out robbery as cash and jewelry were untouched.
