Continuous heavy rainfall in the catchment areas of Pune's Khadakwasla dam chain has resulted in an inflow of 704 MCFT (0.704 TMC) of water within just 24 hours. This increase is sufficient to meet the city's water needs for about 18 days. The total useful water storage has reached 5.09 TMC (17.47%). Over the last five days, the storage increased by 1.46 TMC, providing a significant relief to the citizens. Temghar dam recorded the highest rainfall at 115 mm, followed by Panshet and Varasgaon.
