A special vigilance court in Cuttack has rejected the bail plea of Bhimasen Tudu, the accused in the death case of medical student Chandrika Hembram. Chandrika, a third-year student of FM Medical College, Balasore, was found dead near Kathajodi river on June 4. Following complaints from her family, the police arrested her boyfriend Bhimasen, who allegedly harassed her over caste and professional issues.
