The owner of Hotel Flourish in Delhi's Malviya Nagar, Lavkesh Bajaj, has been sent to four-day police custody following a devastating fire that claimed 21 lives, including 12 foreign nationals. Investigation revealed that the hotel had constructed 25 rooms despite having permission for only five. Police stated that Bajaj fled the scene in his car during the fire instead of helping. The Delhi government has announced compensation of ₹10 lakh for the families of the deceased and ₹5 lakh for the injured.
