Police and central security agencies foiled a major terror plot in Tinsukia district, Assam. Two active members of the banned ULFA(I) militant group, identified as Humanjyoti Baruah and Papu Moran, were arrested from the Jagun area. A large cache of weapons, including two AK-56 rifles, 172 live rounds, and two hand grenades, was seized. Preliminary investigation reveals the suspects were assigned to target civilians and create panic in Tinsukia city.
