A major road accident occurred on National Highway-16 near Humma in Ganjam district. Two cars traveling from Berhampur to Bhubaneswar collided, causing one car to jump the divider and hit an oncoming Indian Oil tanker. The other car veered off the road into a field. Several young men and women in the cars sustained minor injuries and were rushed to Ganjam and Chatrapur hospitals.
