BJP MLA and former Bihar minister Raju Kumar Singh has been convicted by Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court for 'culpable homicide not amounting to murder' in a 2018 New Year's Eve firing case. The incident, which occurred at his farmhouse in South Delhi, resulted in the death of Dr. Archana Gupta. The court will hear arguments on the sentence on June 9. If sentenced to more than two years in prison, Singh faces disqualification from his assembly membership under the Representation of the People Act.
