Annual commemorative events for the June 1984 Ghallughara have begun at Sri Akal Takht Sahib with the commencement of Sri Akhand Path Sahib. SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami and other Sikh leaders attended the ceremony. Dhami emphasized the pain of the 1984 military attack and called for the release of 'Bandi Singhs' including Balwant Singh Rajoana.
