The Central Government has significantly increased the fees for issuing and re-issuing passports in India. Starting July 1, the fee for a standard 36-page passport will rise from ₹1,500 to ₹2,500, while the Tatkaal fee will increase to ₹5,000. For a 60-page jumbo passport, the standard fee is now ₹3,500 and the Tatkaal fee is ₹6,000.
