On the auspicious occasion of Snana Purnima, Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra performed their divine bathing ritual at the Snana Mandap in Puri. The deities were bathed with 108 pots of aromatic water following the traditional Pahandi ritual. Lakhs of devotees gathered at Bada Danda to witness this grand event. After the grand bath, the deities will be adorned in the rare Gajanana or Hati Besha (Elephant attire), a sight that occurs only once a year.
