The Odisha Journalists' Union (OJU) has decided to launch a major protest from the Singhadwara in Puri due to the state government's failure to address journalists' issues and implement the Journalist Protection Act. During a state executive meeting in Bhubaneswar, chaired by State President Shashi Bhushan Praharaj, representatives from 22 districts expressed their frustration over unfulfilled promises. The union emphasized that journalists are the 'eyes of society' and their protection is vital for democracy.
