The DGP of Odisha Police has suspended Sukra Madhi, the Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) of Jharbandh police station in Bargarh district. The action was taken following allegations of negligence in duty and involvement in a ganja (cannabis) deal. Earlier, an ASI and a constable were suspended, while a home guard was dismissed in connection with the same case after they were caught during the illegal transaction.
