The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has introduced a new initiative to streamline street food vendors. In the first phase, 35 gupchup and chaat vendors were provided with free modern trolleys by Mayor Sulochana Das. This move aims to ensure food hygiene and urban aesthetics. Vendors are required to operate from designated clean zones with paver blocks and must wear gloves while serving. The project is supported by HDFC Bank and Mahashakti Foundation.
