Ferozepur police encountered Vishnu Thakur, a suspect in the Gurcharan Singh Baba murder case, after he attempted to flee custody and fired at officers during a weapon recovery mission. The incident occurred near the Rajasthan Canal track. Thakur, who was previously arrested from Jammu and Kashmir along with Rahul Mahawar, sustained a leg injury in the retaliatory fire. Both suspects are from Rajasthan and carried a reward of 10,000 rupees.
