On the occasion of Padmashree Saalumarada Thimmakka's 115th birthday, the Bengaluru Rural District Sarvodaya Mandali organized a tree-planting drive in Vijayapura. Junior Seer Sadashiva Swamiji of Basavakalyana Matha inaugurated the event by planting saplings. As part of the celebration, a target of planting and distributing 1,115 saplings across various locations in the town has been set under the guidance of Ballur Umesh.
