A 15-year-old girl named Runu from Gagpal village in Mayurbhanj district committed suicide by consuming poison after her mother and maternal uncle snatched and broke her mobile phone. Her father had instructed them to take the phone away as she was using it excessively. After the incident, she locked herself in a room and drank pesticide. Although family members rescued and rushed her to Udala hospital, she passed away during treatment.
