An Amritsar court has acquitted gangster Jagdeep Singh, alias Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, and four others in the 8-year-old murder case of Congress Councilor Gurdeep Pahlwan due to lack of evidence. However, the court of Additional Sessions Judge Sanjiv Kundi convicted three other accused in the high-profile case and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
