Severe Nor'wester (Kalbaishakhi) caused massive destruction in the Chandaka-Bharatpur area of Bhubaneswar. Strong winds uprooted over 30 trees and broke more than 300 old trees, blocking major roads. Power supply was disrupted in areas like Jagannathprasad and Andharua due to damaged electric poles. While no casualties were reported as shop owners narrowly escaped, the region remained in darkness late into the night.
