The child fell ill after being fed sweets by neighbors on May 22 and was later admitted to the ICU at Cuttack Shishu Bhawan, where doctors confirmed poisoning. The victim's father, Ajay Mallick, claimed this was a targeted attack due to ongoing property issues and filed a police complaint.
