The Indian Express on Instagram: "There was a massive uproar in Lok Sabha after Rahul (@rahulgandhi ) quoted ex-Army chief’s memoirs Gandhi was interrupted by Rajnath Singh and Speaker Om Birla moments after he began speaking during the Motion of Thanks. Rahul raised the China stand-off issue in Ladakh by quoting ex-Army chief Naravane’s memoir. Rajnath Singh said Rahul cannot quote from an unpublished book, which is not authentic. Rahul, however, said his source is authentic and that parts of Narvane’s memoir has been published by a magazine as well. As he began to cite the magazine, the Lok Sabha burst into uproar with Amit Shah, Kiren Rijiju interjecting him Rijiju said the Speaker has ruled that articles from magazines or newspapers cannot be quoted in the House. Rahul defended his remarks, adding that the article detailing Naravane’s unpublished memoir raises question on Rajnath Singh and Narendra Modi’s character.  Speaker Om Birla objected to the mention of the magazine and the unpublished memoir and warned Rahul. Rahul questioned: “What does it contain which is scaring them so much?
