Wafat of Sayyida Khadija al Kubra سلام الله عليها 🤍 On this day, the Mother of the Believers, the first supporter of Islam, and the greatest strength of the Holy Prophet ﷺ returned to Allah. Bibi Khadija سلام الله عليها was the first to believe in him, the first to pray behind him, and she sacrificed her wealth, status, and comfort for Islam. During the difficult days of Shiʿb Abi Talib, she stood firm beside Rasulullah ﷺ, spending everything for the sake of Allah. After her passing, the Prophet ﷺ was deeply heartbroken. That year was known as Aam al Huzn, the Year of Sorrow, as mentioned by historians like Ibn Hisham in Al Sirah al Nabawiyyah and Ibn Saad in Al Tabaqat al Kubra. He never forgot her loyalty and love. As narrated in Sahih al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, whenever a goat was slaughtered, he would send portions to her friends, saying she had supported him when people rejected him. The Prophet ﷺ said that Allah granted him her love and that she believed in him when others disbelieved. Her departure left a deep pain in the household of the Prophet ﷺ. It was not just a personal loss, it was a loss for the entire Ummah.
