India is expanding its digital payment network, UPI. Talks are underway with around eight nations, including East Asian countries, to make UPI payments acceptable. This move aims to benefit Indian tourists abroad. UPI is already operational in eight countries. India is also incorporating UPI into trade negotiations to leverage its cost and scale advantages for national benefit.
