🚨 Cybercrime Alert from Krishnagiri! 🚨
A 43-year-old woman near Pochampalli has lost ₹5 lakh after falling victim to a fake APK scam.
👉 The fraudsters sent her a malicious file named “PM Kishan Apk” on WhatsApp. Believing it to be genuine, she clicked the link — unknowingly giving hackers control over her mobile phone. Within days, her bank account was drained in a single transaction.
📌 How the scam works:
Fake APK files are disguised as government schemes, bank apps, or offers.
Once installed, malware takes control of the phone.
Fraudsters track financial activity, steal passwords, and loot money.
Victims often realise only after losing huge sums.
👮 The case has been registered by the Krishnagiri Cybercrime Police under BNS & IT Act.
⚠️ Police Advisory:
✅ Never install unknown APK files.
✅ Verify scheme details only with official departments.

🚨 Tragedy in Krishnagiri: Family Suicide Attempt Leaves 2 Dead
A heartbreaking incident unfolded at the KRP Dam in Krishnagiri, where four members of the same family attempted suicide by jumping into the water. Sadly, two of them lost their lives.
🔹 The family, identified as Lakshmana Moorthy (50), his wife Jyothi (40), their daughter Krithika (20), and Jyothi’s mother Saradhamma (75), had reportedly traveled from Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh.
