Shri Lakshman Singh, MD, K-RIDE Conducts Detailed Inspection of Airport Link Alignment
Consequent to Indian Railways’ finalisation and approval of the alignment of Corridor-1 / Sampige Line comprising C1A (Bengaluru City Railway Station to Devanahalli) and C1B (Airport Link) - Shri Lakshman Singh Managing Director, K-RIDE, undertook a detailed field inspection of the Airport Link alignment.
During the inspection, the MD directed that station planning activities be initiated immediately to enable timely completion of land acquisition. He further instructed the Land Acquisition Department to undertake joint measurement committee (JMC) for track, station, and electrical requirements simultaneously, ensuring an integrated and time-bound approach for all private land acquisition.
Emphasising the strategic importance of the project, the MD noted that Bengaluru, as the fastest-growing city in the country, requires robust and future-ready transport infrastructure. He stated that the Airport Corridor is the most critical and long-awaited corridor, with the potential to significantly enhance urban mobility and deliver substantial positive impact on the State’s economy and finances.
The MD urged all concerned officials to take up execution on a war-footing to ensure timely delivery of this vital infrastructure project. #kride
MD, KRIDE along with Director (Projects& Planning), KRIDE, GC and contractors, today, inspected the station works and alignment along Corridor 2, Mallige Line of BSRP between Banaswadi and Kasturinagar.
MD inspected on foot a length of 3.200 km (i.e., from Ch. 4.000 to 0.980km). The stretch involved at-grade work construction of earthwork in embankment, ERS, Minor bridges & RUBs.

MD, K-RIDE conducted a morning inspection today on the BSRP Corridor-2 (at-grade section), covering the stretch from Mukthinagar (LC-140) to Banaswadi over a corridor allignment length of 2.300 Km (from Ch 6.300 to Ch 4.000).
The site visit reviewed ongoing and proposed at-grade works including earthwork in embankment, ERS, minor bridges and RUBs, along with raising of formation for both BSRP C2 tracks and Indian Railways tracks (two tracks each). The inspection focused on reviewing the alignment feasibility, station locations and construction methodologies.

Key areas of emphasis included handing over of balance private land acquisition and C&R, eviction of IR encroachments, shifting of IR assets such as rails and sleepers, relocation of BWSSB sewer and water lines, removal and shifting of BESCOM electrical utilities, and shifting of IR S&T cables, with the objective of resolving constraints and accelerating project execution.
