"பத்து திசைகளிலும் உங்கள் புகழ் பரவட்டும்!" என்று பெரியவர்கள் வாழ்த்தி நாம் கேட்டிருப்போம். ஆனால் நாம் பார்ப்பதோ கிழக்கு, மேற்கு, வடக்கு, தெற்கு மற்றும் அவற்றின் மூலைகள் என எட்டு திசைகளை மட்டும்தானே?
அப்படியென்றால் மீதமுள்ள அந்த இரண்டு திசைகள் எவை? ஆன்மிக ரீதியாகவும், பிரபஞ்ச ரீதியாகவும் அண்டவெளியை முழுமையாக்கும் அந்த ஒன்பது மற்றும் பத்தாவது திசைகளின் ரகசியங்கள் இதோ.
மேல் திசை (ஆகாயம்) அதிபதி_பிரம்மன்:
நம் தலைக்கு மேலே விரிந்து கிடக்கும் எல்லையற்ற ஆகாயமே ஒன்பதாவது திசையாகும். படைப்புக் கடவுளான பிரம்ம தேவன் இத்திசையைக் காப்பவராக விளங்குகிறார்.
ஆன்மாவின் உயர்வு: இத்திசை நம்முடைய ஆன்மா, உயர் சிந்தனைகள் மற்றும் ஆன்மிக உன்னதத்தைக் குறிக்கிறது.
படைப்பாற்றல்: எல்லையற்ற ஆகாயத்தைப் போல நம் எண்ணங்களும், கற்பனைத் திறனும் விரிவடைய இத்திசையின் ஆற்றல் அவசியம்.
பிரபஞ்ச இணைப்பு: நாம் கைகளைக் குவித்து மேலே பார்த்துச் செய்யும் பிரார்த்தனைகள், இந்த மேல் திசை வழியாக பிரபஞ்சப் பேராற்றலோடு நம்மை இணைக்கின்றன.
கீழ் திசை (பூமி) – அதிபதி மகாவிஷ்ணு (அனந்தன்):
நம் காலடியில் இருக்கும் இந்த பூமிப்பந்தும், பாதாளமுமே பத்தாவது திசையாகும். உலகைக் காக்கும் கடவுளான மகாவிஷ்ணு (ஆதிசேஷன்/அனந்தன் வடிவில்) இத்திசையின் காவலராக விளங்குகிறார்.
வாழ்வாதாரம்: நமக்கு உணவளித்து, உறைவிடம் தந்து, நம்மைத் தாங்கி நிற்கும் பூமித்தாயின் ஆற்றல் இது. நம் வாழ்வின் அடிப்படைத் தேவைகளை நிறைவு செய்யும் திசை.
பொறுமை & ஸ்திரத்தன்மை: பூமி தேவியைப் போன்ற எல்லையற்ற பொறுமையையும், வாழ்வில் எவ்வளவு பெரிய புயல் வந்தாலும் அசையாமல் நிற்கும் ஸ்திரத்தன்மையையும் இத்திசை நமக்குத் தருகிறது.
நன்றியுணர்வு: நாம் செய்யும் தர்ம காரியங்களும், உழைப்பும் இந்த மண்ணில்தான் விதையாக விழுந்து, விருட்சமாக முளைத்து நமக்கு பலன் தருகின்றன.
கிழக்கு, மேற்கு என்று பக்கவாட்டில் மட்டும் ஓடிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் நம் பார்வையை... சற்றே மேலே நோக்கி உயர்த்தி உயர் சிந்தனைகளையும், கீழே நோக்கிப் பதித்து தாராள மனப்பான்மையையும் வளர்த்துக் கொண்டால், நம் வாழ்க்கை அண்டசராசரத்தின் ஆசியோடு முழுமையடையும்!
மேலே ஆகாயமாய் விஸ்வரூபம் எடுப்போம்... கீழே பூமியாய் எல்லோரையும் தாங்குவோம்!
We Know the Eight Directions... But What Are the 9th and 10th Directions?
We have often heard elders bless us by saying, "May your fame spread across all ten directions!" Yet, when we look around, do we not perceive only eight directions—East, West, North, South, and their respective corners?
If so, what are those remaining two directions? Herein lie the secrets of the ninth and tenth directions—entities that, both spiritually and cosmically, complete the entirety of the universe.
The Upper Direction (The Sky/Akasha) – Presiding Deity: Lord Brahma
The boundless sky stretching out above our heads constitutes the ninth direction. Lord Brahma—the God of Creation—serves as the guardian and presiding deity of this direction.
Elevation of the Soul: This direction symbolizes our soul, our elevated thoughts, and our spiritual transcendence.
Creativity: Much like the infinite expanse of the sky, the energy of this direction is essential for expanding the scope of our thoughts and our imaginative faculties.
Cosmic Connection:The prayers we offer with folded hands while gazing upward connect us—through this upper direction—to the immense cosmic energy of the universe.
The Lower Direction (The Earth/Bhoomi) – Presiding Deity: Lord Maha Vishnu (Anantha)
The Earth beneath our feet—along with the netherworld (Patala) lying beneath it—constitutes the tenth direction. Lord Maha Vishnu—the Preserver of the Universe (manifesting in the form of Adishesha or Anantha)—serves as the guardian of this direction.
Sustenance: This represents the energy of Mother Earth, who nourishes us, provides us with shelter, and physically supports our existence. It is the direction that fulfills the fundamental necessities of our lives.
Patience & Stability: This direction bestows upon us boundless patience—much like that of Mother Earth herself—as well as the unwavering stability to remain unshaken, no matter how great a storm may rage in our lives. Gratitude: The acts of charity we perform and the labor we invest are the very seeds that fall upon this earth, sprout into mighty trees, and ultimately yield their fruits for us.
If we were to lift our gaze—which currently drifts only sideways, between East and West—slightly upward to cultivate noble thoughts, and then cast it downward to nurture a spirit of generosity, our lives would attain fulfillment, blessed by the entire cosmos!
Let us rise high like the boundless sky above... and, like the earth beneath, let us sustain everyone!
