On 4 June 2026, a foreign tourist was arrested after allegedly creating a disturbance in Kotwali Bazaar and the Kachahri Chowk area of Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh. The man was seen throwing and juggling tomatoes and other vegetables taken from a vendor's stall, with some produce falling onto the road. Reports state that he was allegedly intoxicated and later threw stones at a taxi, damaging the vehicle and causing panic among shopkeepers and visitors. Locals and vendors tried to calm him, but he continued the disturbance. He also allegedly misbehaved with a female traffic police officer who responded to the scene.
