Kalashtami is a sacred day dedicated to Kala Bhairava, the fierce and protective form of Shiva. It is observed on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the waning moon each month. Devotees fast, visit Bhairava temples, light oil lamps, and pray for protection from negative forces, fear, and obstacles. The day is considered powerful for removing karmic burdens and gaining courage and clarity.
