Narak Chaturdashi, also known as Chhoti Diwali, will be celebrated on Sunday, November 8, 2026. This year, due to the alignment of tithis, Narak Chaturdashi and Diwali Lakshmi Puja fall on the same day. The Chaturdashi Tithi starts at 10:47 AM on Nov 7 and ends at 11:27 AM on Nov 8. Following religious traditions, the Abhyang Snan (sacred bath) is observed on Nov 8 before sunrise. In New Delhi, the auspicious window for the bath is 5:41 AM to 6:38 AM. The day commemorates Lord Krishna's victory over the demon Narakasura and involves rituals like lighting lamps and using sesame oil for spiritual purification.
