In the national capital of our country, slogans were raised against Brahmins and Thakurs by students of JNU. “Brahmanwad Murdabad, Thakurvad Murdabad.” And yet, this has become normal. Acceptable. No outrage. No debates. No one will be labelled anti-national for this. Imagine the silence if similar slogans were raised against any other community. Even before the implementation of the new UGC rules, open abuse against the so-called “General Category” is happening without hesitation. Just think about what could follow if such hostility is further normalized. This is not about politics. This is about dignity.
