Aap sawaal puchho, aur aapko passport dikhaane ko bola jaaye." (You ask a question, and you are asked to show your passport.) This is the reality when critics of the BJP are instantly attacked with labels like "anti-national," "go back to Pakistan," or "Khalistani." This is not about winning an argument; it is a calculated political strategy designed to delegitimize the critic and shut down scrutiny. The label "anti-national" turns every policy critique into an attack on the nation itself. The "go back to Pakistan" slur weaponizes communal tension to question the loyalty of the critic, especially minorities. And the "Khalistani" label is used to dismiss any protest, particularly from the Sikh community, by painting them as seditious. Jab sarkar ke paas jawab nahi hota (When the government doesn't have an answer), toh yeh personal attacks ka sahara liya jaata hai (then they resort to these personal attacks). Sawal yeh hai: Kya aaj ki tareekh mein Bhaarat mein sacha patriot woh hai jo sarkar se sawaal karta hai, ya jo sirf taali bajata hai (In today's India, is the true patriot the one who questions the government, or the one who only claps)?
