Kashmir to Paris: Kashmir’s Bilquis Mir makes history as first Indian Jury
member for Olympics

Mir has become the first Indian woman from Kashmir to be a jury member in the Paris
Olympics. In a letter written by the Indian Olympic Association to the J&K
Government, it has been informed that Ms Bilquis Mir, water Sports Promoter, Developer,
Athlete, and Jury member of the Indian Kayaking and Canoeing Association has
been nominated as a member of the jury to officiate at the Paris Olympics
games. She is the first person from India to be appointed as a jury member at
the Paris Olympics.
Speaking
on her achievement, Biquis Mir said that this is a dream come true for her.
She
further said, “I started my journey as an Athlete from Dal Lake in 1998 and
played for the country and also became the coach of the Indian team, and now
