Big Relief for Farmers Under HADP Scheme in Kathua In Kathua, under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP), the Agriculture Production Department is providing significant financial assistance to farmers for modern agricultural equipment. Under this scheme, five progressive farmers have been provided with self-propelled combine harvesters, with subsidies ranging from ₹8 to ₹9 lakh. This initiative is an important step towards making agriculture modern, sustainable, and profitable. The program promotes farm mechanization and automation, aiming to reduce farmers’ manual effort and increase productivity. A subsidy of around 50% is being provided on combine harvesters, enabling small and marginal farmers to access advanced technology.
