Eye camp held in Srinagar, hundreds of
artisans underwent eye checkups
A special free eye
checkup camp was organized in Srinagar to improve the health of artisans who
keep Kashmir's rich handicraft tradition alive. Organized by the Indian
Institute of Carpet Technology, this camp provided free eye checkups, diabetes
testing, medicines, and eyewear to artisans and their families. Artisans
involved in intricate handicrafts such as carpet weaving, papier-mâché, wood
carving, embroidery, and shawl making often face vision problems. Hundreds of
artisans participated in the camp and received health guidance from expert
doctors. The artisans welcomed the initiative and requested that such camps be
held regularly in the future. May they get timely health facilities and may
their skills reach new heights. #06 June के अपडेट
