Ingredients (Makes 8–10 Modaks)
• Mascarpone cheese – ½ cup
• Fresh cream – 2 tbsp
• Powdered sugar – 3 tbsp
• Instant coffee – 1 tsp (dissolved in 1 tbsp warm water)
• Savoiardi (ladyfinger) crumbs – 3–4 biscuits (or sponge crumbs)
• Khoa/Mawa – 1 cup (for outer layer)
• Condensed milk – 3 tbsp
• Cocoa powder – for dusting
• Coffee decoction – few drops (optional, for extra flavor)

Method
Step 1: Make Outer Cover
1. In a non-stick pan, heat khoa and condensed milk.
2. Cook on low heat until it forms a soft dough.
3. Add 2–3 drops coffee decoction (optional) for flavor. Let it cool.

Step 2: Prepare Tiramisu Filling
4. In a bowl, mix mascarpone cheese, fresh cream, and powdered sugar until smooth.
5. Add dissolved coffee and mix well.
6. Fold in biscuit crumbs for texture. Chill for 10 minutes.
Step 3: Shape Modaks
7. Grease the modak mould with ghee.
8. Take a portion of khoa mixture, press into mould, leaving a cavity.
9. Fill with coffee-mascarpone mixture, seal with more khoa dough.
10. Demould carefully.
Step 4: Finish
11. Dust with cocoa powder for the classic tiramisu look.
12. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
