Patiala Police solved the murder case of MBBS student Kamaldeep Mittal within 36 hours by arresting his childhood friend Mohit Verma. Investigations revealed that Mohit had induced Kamaldeep to invest ₹35 lakhs in the stock market, which he later lost in online gaming. When Kamaldeep demanded his money back, Mohit allegedly stabbed him 25-30 times at his PG accommodation. After the murder, the accused transferred ₹25,000 from the victim's phone and left a fake note to mislead police.
