Contractual employees of Punjab Roadways (PUNBUS) and PRTC have announced a state-wide complete strike from May 25 to 27. The workers are protesting against unfulfilled government promises and the continued imprisonment of their colleagues who were arrested during previous protests. Gate rallies were held across various depots, including Ludhiana and Sangrur. A symbolic strike is also planned for May 18.
