Located on NH-934 near Sagar, Mara village attracts attention due to its peculiar name. Locals share two historical accounts for this: one involving frequent dacoit attacks that forced villagers to relocate, and another citing a deadly epidemic called 'Red Fever' that caused massive fatalities. Despite its name, the village is well-connected to Nariyavali railway station, a private university, and an Indian Oil depot. It currently houses around 300 families and forms a part of the Imaliya-Mara panchayat. The village features modern amenities like schools, Anganwadis, and temples in every street.
