The West Bengal government has approved the 'Annapurna Bhandar Scheme 2.0', replacing the existing 'Laxmi Bhandar' scheme. Starting June 1, 2026, eligible women aged 25 to 60 will receive ₹3,000 per month directly into their bank accounts via DBT. Additionally, free bus travel in state-run buses will be provided to women. There is no distinction between general and SC/ST categories for the financial aid.
