A severe Nor'wester (Kalbaisakhi) storm caused massive destruction in the Bonai area of Sundargarh district. Within two hours, heavy winds uprooted hundreds of electric poles and over five transformers, plunging the region into darkness. Trees fell on vehicles and blocked main roads, including the one in front of the Sub-Collector's residence.
