A gang of six masked dacoits brutally attacked a gold merchant in Gudari town, Rayagada district, late Monday night. The victim was attacked with sharp weapons while checking his shop. The dacoits had planned a robbery by taping CCTV cameras and breaking locks of a prominent jewellery store. The injured merchant has been shifted to Visakhapatnam for treatment.
