The Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) conducted a major anti-encroachment drive in Jajmau, reclaiming 60 bighas of land. Under the leadership of OSD Ravi Pratap Singh, 18 bighas of authority-owned land in Ruma and Wajidpur were cleared. Additionally, partial demolition was carried out on 41 bighas of illegal plotting in Ahirwan. KDA has identified another 85 bighas of illegal constructions and issued notices. Plot owners have 15 days to get their maps approved, failing which further demolition will occur.
