The bail application of Bhimasen Prasad Tudu, the prime accused in the death case of medical student Chandrika Hembram, has been rejected by the Cuttack Additional Sessions Judge. The court cited concerns about the investigation being hampered and witnesses being influenced. Bhimasen, a former OTAS officer, has already been dismissed from government service by the Chief Minister. He faces charges under Section 69 of the BNS for allegedly maintaining physical relations on the false promise of marriage.
