The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved a new 163 km coastal highway project in Odisha connecting Rameshwar in Khordha to Paradip. With an investment of ₹8,300 crore, this project is expected to reduce travel time between the two points by 2.5 hours. The highway will be built in two packages: a 4-lane stretch from Rameshwar to Konark and a 2-lane stretch from Konark to Paradip.
